Blueprints: BPOs, BPCs, ME & TE
A Blueprint Original (BPO) can be researched and reused. A Blueprint Copy (BPC) has a limited number of runs. ME affects material use; TE affects manufacturing time.
Blueprint Originals can be used repeatedly, researched, and copied. Blueprint Copies inherit relevant research values but only allow the number of runs shown on the copy. Material Efficiency (ME) reduces material requirements within EVE’s rounding rules; Time Efficiency (TE) reduces manufacturing time. Blueprint copies are also used for invention into many Tech II blueprints. Corporation blueprint libraries often have special rules for requesting copies so valuable originals do not need to leave controlled storage.
New Pilot Guidance
Do not move a corporation BPO just because you need to build something. Usually you should request or use a BPC. BPOs can be extremely valuable, while BPCs are designed to be consumed in normal production.
