EVE SSO Login and Background Authorization Basics
Use the EVE SSO button and read the scopes shown by CCP before authorizing. Normal login and special background-check authorization are separate flows.
EVE SSO is the official login flow that lets you prove which EVE character you control. The CMS uses it for login, onboarding, background authorization, character/corporation checks, and some tools that need EVE data.
Use the character you are applying or joining with. If you log in with the wrong character, the CMS may show the wrong corp, wrong application status, or wrong access.
During onboarding, the site may ask for additional authorization so staff can review the application and confirm basic trust checks. This is part of the corp application process.
Common fixes:
- If you land on the wrong account, log out of the CMS and EVE SSO, then try again with the correct character.
- If access is denied, make sure your character is part of an allowed corporation or still in the applicant/provisional flow.
- If the page loops or seems stuck, refresh once and ask staff before repeatedly retrying.
- If a background/auth step says incomplete after you finished it, tell staff which character you used.
The CMS should never ask for your EVE account password directly. EVE SSO should happen through the normal EVE Online login page.
