Market: Buy Orders, Sell Orders & Regional Pricing
Sell orders offer items at a price; buy orders offer ISK for items. EVE markets are regional, so price and availability can change dramatically from one trade hub or region to another.
When you buy immediately, you are usually taking an existing sell order. When you sell immediately, you are usually selling into an existing buy order. Creating your own order lets you choose price and duration but may require broker fees, taxes, and updates. Always check quantity, station, region, and decimal placement before confirming a large transaction. Corporation price tools may intentionally use a specific trade hub or pricing model instead of the station you are currently in.

A cheap item five regions away is not necessarily a good deal. Look at the location before buying. Also pay attention to whether you are clicking Buy, Sell, Modify Order, or selling immediately to the highest visible buy order.
